ABOUT PLASSON AUSTRALIA
From a single idea on a kibbutz to the pipelines, mines, farms and cities of Australia, PLASSON has spent five decades engineering the connections industry relies on.
PLASSON GLOBAL
PLASSON began in 1963 at Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael, when a group of farmers decided their work should be shaped by technology rather than limited by it.
Those first products were simple, poultry drinkers and transport cages moulded in plastic. The breakthrough came when that same injection-moulding knowledge was turned to a harder problem: connecting polyethylene pipe. Today those fittings carry water, gas and slurry through industry, cities and mines across the world.
PLASSON has been publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange since 1997, but the founders’ original commitment to quality, service and fair dealing still runs the business.
The name says it plainly: PLAS (plastic) + SON (strength), from the Hebrew, engineered together in every fitting.
OUR STORY
Six decades of innovation as one line, from the global milestones that built the company to the moments that built PLASSON in Australia.
A group of farmers at Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael set up an injection-moulding enterprise, starting with poultry drinkers and transport cages.
PLASSON turns its moulding expertise to connecting polyethylene pipe, launching its first compression fittings.
An early flagship range that helped define PLASSON’s reputation for quality connections.
David Kirton brings PLASSON to Australia’s shores with a simple belief: that great products mean little without great people behind them.
After two decades of PLASSON products serving Australian growers and plumbers, a dedicated local subsidiary is formed.
Over time, PLASSON Australia’s national footprint spread to each corner of the country, with distribution centres in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, third-party logistics in Darwin, and a technical team on the road in every region.
With that, PLASSON Australia brings more innovative products and technologies to the market, including the SmartFuse Electrofusion range, Series One Pushfit fittings, and greater capability across Mining, Agriculture, Civil, Irrigation and more.
PLASSON Australia opens a fully-owned 13,889 sqm Brisbane warehouse, almost double the footprint of the previous warehouse, with room for training, technical support and decades of growth.
